When we think about Barcelona, the beach in Barceloneta, La Ramblas, Gaudi and Tapas come into our minds. When I think about Barcelona, I am thinking of the perfect combination between a metropolitan city and the sea. Barcelona has a flourishing nightlife, fantastic seafood and many hot bodies doing workout at the seaside.
So while doing the #easybodychallenge with Easywriters, Barcelona was a good choice to take some days off. You’ll get healthy food with vegetables and fresh seafood at every corner. Besides that, there are 1000 possibilites for a work out. No need to mention how amazing jogging on the seaside along the beach is. And be sure I got some eyes on me while doing my workout in my brand new and super functional Bench sports wear. The colors of the shirt and leggings matched the colors of the sea perfectly.
A workout in Barcelona can easily be done at the harbor or beach, as it offers many possibilities to do planks, stretching, pushups, squats, etc. Even a whole workout zone including TRX is available at the beach of Barceloneta in front of the Pacha Club.
If you wish to do your workout while dancing in Barcelonas famous nightlife, Deep House and Electronic Music fans will be happy while sweating in Omm Hotel, CDLC, Razzmatazz or Under club. If you are looking for a central, modern and affordable accommodation, check out the Resa Inn, which is located just next to the Ramblas.
Super healthy restaurants are Teresa Carles or Biocenter. They have great organic and vegetarian breakfast and even cold pressed juices. If you are looking for a low carb dinner with fresh fish, chicken and vegetables, I reccommed the Fishop, Agua or especially Xemei where you‘ll feel like you’re in food heaven! A very special place including an amazing view over the sea is the Wave restaurant, located in the W Hotel Barcelona. Especially the tuna rolls and scallops are super yummy. Thank you for hosting us!
My personal tip for you: take a walk through El Borne. It’s an amazing district with a lot of small bars, restaurants, vintage stores, art galleries and cozy places where Catalonian people are sitting together, drinking coffee.
So after a weekend in Barcelona, I have to say it’s a great city to combine sun, fun and a healthy lifestyle. Thank you Barcelona for helping me getting in shape for Cape Town in March, where I will present you my personal hot spots with the new Bench summer collection.
